Comm. Bank of Chesapeake Names Farland SVP

The Community Bank of the Chesapeake announced the promotion of Anthony “Tony” Farland to Senior Vice President. Farland will be responsible for the lending team in Fredericksburg, Virginia where the bank provides different commercial loans to meet the various needs of local businesses. Prior to his promotion, Farland served the bank as Senior Commercial Lender.

Farland’s promotion is well deserved. According to Greg COMMUNITY BANK OF THE CHESAPEAKE FARLANDCockerham, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer of Community Bank of the Chesapeake, “Tony has done an exceptional job leading the commercial lending effort in Fredericksburg.” Farland joined the bank in 2011 and since then has been an important part in the success of the bank in the region.

Before Community Bank, Farland served at PNC Bank N.A. where he held several positions including Relationship Manager and Credit Officer. Currently, the Community Bank’s newest SVP is pursuing a degree from the American Military University. He also has completed various courses through the American Bankers Association and the Center for Financial Training. Despite his busy schedule, he is still actively involved in the community where he volunteers for organizations such as the Rappahannock United Way and Ducks Unlimited.
