Federal Home Loan Bank Names Batsel as SVP-CIO

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati welcomes Roger Batsel as Senior Vice President-Chief Information Officer. In his new role, Batsel will be responsible for planning and implementing the technology strategy for the Bank. He will also oversee the day-to-day duties of the Information Security and Compliance, Technical Support, and Systems and Programming Departments.

Batsel brings with him more than 15 years of technology Batsel,Roger-Federal-Home-Loan-Bankleadership experience in a variety of industries including banking, insurance, and retail. Prior to joining Federal Home Loan Bank, Batsel held several senior level positions in various financial institutions. This includes his employment with MidCountry Financial Corporation in Macon, Georgia where he served as Senior Vice President-Chief Information Officer. In this position, he was responsible for developing and executing a compelling technology strategy which enables growth, generates business value, and drives innovation. He also served as Senior Vice President-Managing Director of Information Systems with Republic Bank in Louisville.

Batsel is active in the community. He serves as a Member of Board of Directors of Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He also served as the Chair of CIO Roundtable, Greater Louisville Inc. and Member of Board of Directors of Louisville Multiple Sclerosis Center.
