Alliance Bank Names New Cleveland County Market Pres

Alliance Bank & Trust Company announced that it has hired Tebin McDowell as Market President over Cleveland County. McDowell brings over 29 years of experience in banking and building relationships in the Cleveland, Gaston, and Charlotte markets.

Prior to joining Alliance Bank, McDowell held several senior level McDowell,Tebin-Alliance-Bankpositions in various banking and financial institutions. His extensive background includes being a commercial lender at Shelby Savings Bank in 2003 and Senior Commercial Relationship Manager at CommunityOne Bank in Gastonia in 2006. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President at CapStar Bank.

Alliance Bank CEO Don Harrison said, “Tebin is a great asset. He brings unique perspective and philosophy to community banking.” He added that McDowell fits his principle of choosing the right people and hiring the right talent for the right market.

McDowell earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Banking and Finance from Mars Hill University. He also completed Advanced Treasury Management CCM Certification at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in 1989.

A long-term resident of Cleveland County, McDowell is active in the local community. He is a member of Shelby Rotary Club, is assistant treasurer and vice-chairman, Salvation Army Advisory Board, Shelby; and advisory board member, Kidsenses Children’s Museum in Rutherfordton among others.
