Chris Kong Joins Wilshire Bank as SVP & SBA Manager

Wilshire Bancorp, Inc., the parent company of Wilshire Bank, announced that Chris Kong has joined its subsidiary bank as Senior Vice President and SBA Division Manager. In his new role, Mr. Kong will be responsible for leading all of its SBA loan production offices across the United States.

Mr. Kong brings with him more than 15 years of experience Wilshire Bank Logoworking in the Korean-American banking industry. He has served as SBA Manager for other major Korean-American banks over the past seven years. Prior to joining Wilshire Bank, Mr. Kong served BBCN Bank as Senior Vice President and also held several positions such as SBA Regional Manager and SBA Manager with the bank. In 2012 and 2013, when he was with BBCN, the bank ranked as the leading producer of SBA loans among Korean-American banks. He started his career as a Commercial Loan Officer at Center Bank before moving into the SBA department where he served as First Vice President and SBA Manager.
