Bankwell Promotes West to First Vice President

Bankwell is glad to announce the promotion of Linda West to First Vice President of its commercial lending department. Prior to joining Bankwell in 2010, Ms. West served as Senior Vice President at Patriot National Bank where she headed commercial lending to new business loans, commercial mortgages, and relationship management. In addition, she also held executive level positions from several banks and financial institutions, including Summit Bank, JE RobertCompany of New England, The Chase Manhattan Bank, and Sikorsky Aircraft.

Bankwell President Heidi DeWyngaert said, “Linda has brought great value and expertise Linda-West-Bankwellto the bank’s lending team with her vast experience in the local commercial arena.” She added that, “She has a strong track record of developing loans and full depository relationships with customers.”

Ms. West earned her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the Hofstra University, and also holds a certificate in Business from Golden Gate University.

The First Vice President is an active supporter of the local community. A member of the Real Estate Finance Association, Ms. West also serves as treasurer of the board of directors on the Norwalk Senior Center and chairman of the board of directors of the Norwalk YMCA.
