Level One Bank Hires New VP, Commercial Banking

Level One Bank, one of Southeast Michigan’s leading community banks, announced that it has hired James Campbell as Vice President, Commercial Banking. As Vice President, Mr. Campbell will be responsible for expanding Level One’s Asset Based Lending capabilities to provide more client-friendly solutions, including occupied real estate loans and SBA loans. While managing existing client relationships, he will also lead in building new business relationships to serve small- and middle-market businesses in Michigan.

Mr. Campbell joins Level One Bank with more than 20 years of experience in the banking Level One Bankindustry. His expertise includes credit, underwriting, operations, private banking, business banking and asset-based lending. Prior to joining Level One, he served as a Senior Credit Officer at a commercial finance company in Troy, Michigan.

The new VP holds a Juris Doctorate Degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. At present, he serves as a member of the State Bar of Michigan (SBM), the Oakland County Bar Association, the Michigan Chapter of the Commercial Finance Association, and the Turnaround Management Association.

Mr. Campbell lives in West Bloomfield.
