Union Bank Hires Didi Hakes as SBA Group Manager

Union Bank is pleased to announce that Kirsten “Didi” Hakes has joined the company as Managing Director of Small Business Administration (SBA) lending. Ms. Hakes will be responsible for leading the bank-wide SBA team, including strategy, compliance and overall growth. She will be based in San Diego where she will manage the SBA business development efforts with responsibility for the SBA credit and loan administration teams.

Ms. Hakes brings over 30 years of experience in banking. She started her career at San Diego Trust and Savings Bank and since then, she has held several senior roles, including Chief Credit Officer, Community Lending Manager, and SBA Group Manager. Prior to joining Union Bank, she served as Senior Vice President, SBA Manager at One West Bank.

Ms. Hakes is an active supporter of several organizations, including SCORE; Junior Achievement; the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO); the Consumer Bankers Association’s Small Business Banking Committee; and the AmPac Tri State CDC, a certified development company of the U.S. Small Business Administration.
