Capital One Appoints Mazar as Director, BDO

Capital One announced the appointment of David Mazar as Director, Business Development Officer for Capital Business Credit, which is part of the Commercial & Specialty Finance Group. In this capacity, Mazar will be responsible for business development of asset-based lending for middle market companies in the intermountain Western region. He will report to Steve Hinrichs, Managing Director.

Mazar has more than 35 years of experience in corporate lending, Capital One Bankrestructuring and corporate finance, which includes more than 21 years in asset-based lending. Aside from working directly with corporate clients, he also worked with equity sponsors to support leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and refinancing. Prior to joining Capital One, he served as Senior Vice President at Bank of America Business Credit for nine years, and also worked at GE Capital and Fleet Capital.

According to Hinrichs, “David has extensive asset-based marketing and credit experience, and has served clients in the Rocky Mountain States for over a decade.” He added that, “David is a tremendous addition to our team and is well-positioned to help us deliver on our promise of superior performance to clients.”

Mazar looks forward to joining the company. “I am excited to join the Capital One Bank team at a time of growth and investment in the Bank’s specialty finance business,” he said.

He earned a BS in Finance from Saint Vincent College and a MBA from the University of Colorado.
