Bank Star One Promotes Welsh to EVP

Missouri-based Bank Star One is pleased to announce the promotion of Jeff Welsh to Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. In his new role, Welsh will oversee lending activities of the three state-chartered banks of BancStar, Inc. Directors of the bank also elected him to the bank Board.

Jeff Welsh Bank Star OneWelsh has 27 years of banking experience as a commercial lender in the Lake of the Ozarks region. He joined Bank Star One in 2012 and served for two years as Market Manager for the bank’s branches in Fulton and New Bloomfield.

According to Chief Executive Officer, Joseph C. Stewart III, “Since joining Bank Star One, Jeff has been a great asset to our organization. Jeff’s skills will be utilized at the corporate level to help manage lending activity at all of our banks.”

In addition to his banking career, Welsh is actively engaged in the local community. He served on the Board of Directors of the Mid County Fire Protection District in Camdenton, Missouri for 10 years. He was also recently elected to service on the board of the Tri-County YMCA in Osage Beach.

Welsh attended the Southwest Texas State University.
