Stephanie Dunn to Head First Bank’s SBA Lending Div

First Bank has named Stephanie Dunn as Senior Vice President and National Sales Manager of its newly launched national SBA Lending Division. The SBA Division will offer SBA 7a, USDA and 504 loans to small business owners and will serve all 50 states. Dunn will base her SBA lending development efforts in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Stephanie Dunn First BankDunn has more than 17 years of experience in the SBA and commercial lending industry. She brings to her new role an extensive experience in SBA lending in the food, manufacturing, retail, funeral homes, and assisted living industries.

Most recently, she was with Live Oak Bank’s funeral home industry lending team. Before that, she held senior leadership roles at Excel National Bank and Temecula Valley Bank. In 2010, she was a contestant on NBC’s New York-based competition, “The Apprentice.”

Dunn sees a great potential for First Bank in small business lending. “The U.S. economy is driven by enormous corporations, yet our country was founded by small business owners with an entrepreneurial spirit,” she said.

    Paul Millard Named CCO at TheBANK of Edwardsville

    TheBANK of Edwardsville has appointed Paul Millard as its new Chief Credit Officer. As CCO, Millard will oversee credit and loan administration. He will also maintain his strong relationships with his clients and the community while continuing to generate new business.

    Paul Millard The Bank of EdwardsvilleKevin Powers, the Bank’s President and CEO said Millard is the perfect fit for the position. “He has a very unique skillset he will bring to the table with both credit underwriting and loan production experience. We are excited about this promotion and look forward to continued growth and leadership from Paul.”

    Millard has been in the banking industry since 1989. He joined TheBANK of Edwardsville in 1997 as a Credit Underwriter before holding various roles in increasing responsibilities. In 2005, he transitioned to commercial banking and prior to his promotion, he served the Bank as Vice President of Commercial Lending.

    “I am excited to be in my new role,” Millard remarked. “I joined the bank nearly 19 years ago and over that time I have been blessed to have learned so much from my mentors such as Bob Wetzel, Bill Alexander, Jim Meile and Tom Holloway. Now I have the opportunity to utilize what I have learned for the bank’s next chapter with Kevin Powers at the helm.”

      Shawn Gregory Joins The First Bank of Greenwich

      The First Bank of Greenwich is pleased to announce that Shawn L. Gregory has joined the business as Vice President, Senior Commercial Lending Officer. In her new role, Gregory is responsible for providing financial solutions to the Bank’s existing and prospective commercial clients.

      Shawn Gregory First Bank of GreenwichGregory brings to her new role 30 years of banking experience. She specializes in commercial real estate, construction and commercial and industrial financing and she has a strong credit background.

      Prior to joining The First Bank of Greenwich, she served as a Vice President, Senior Commercial Lender at Newtown Savings Bank. Previously, she was a Vice President, Commercial Lending at Union Savings Bank, and she spent 13 years at Bank of New York, where she last served as an Assistant Vice President.

      In addition to her career, Gregory is an active member of the community. She has volunteered for the United Way of Western Connecticut’s Resource Development Committee & Financial Coaches program. Also, she has served as a mentor in the Danbury Schools and Business Collaborative. She is a regular participant in Fairfield County based Chambers of Commerce events and an active member of the Stamford Chapter of The Real Estate Finance Association.

        Bob McCarrick Recruited as EVP at Capital One

        Capital One announced that Bob McCarrick has joined its Middle Market banking team as Executive Vice President and Head of Middle Market Relationships. Based in Dallas, Texas, McCarrick is responsible for regional middle-market banking efforts throughout the East Coast and in Texas, Louisiana and neighboring states.

        Bob McCarrick Capital OneMcCarrick is also responsible for overseeing specialty lending teams and expanding the business into new specialty industries and financing products. He brings to his new role over 20 years of experience in the finance industry.

        Before joining Capital One, McCarrick spent 23 years with GE Capital, where he held various business and leadership roles. He last served GE as Chief Commercial Officer for Corporate Finance, where he led the direct lending and equipment loan business of the company.

        “Bob brings a wealth of experience to Capital One, and we will greatly benefit from his deep expertise and understanding of middle market banking,” said Rob Stuart, Executive Vice President and Head of Middle Market Banking. “I look forward to working with him to grow our middle market business.”

          William Brown Added as SVP at PNC Bank in Baltimore

          PNC Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of William Brown as Senior Vice President. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, Brown joins the Bank’s senior secured lending team in the Mid-Atlantic region. He is in charge of business development with private equity firms and middle-market companies, originating asset-based and cash flow loans.

          William Brown PNC BankBrown brings to his new role 30 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. His areas of expertise include asset-based lending, financial structuring, commercial lending, and portfolio management.

          Prior to joining PNC Bank, he spent ten years in BB&T Commercial Finance. He last served the company as a Senior Vice President, where he was responsible for originating new asset-based lending deals worth $2MM to $75MM for mid-size companies throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Previously, he was Vice President – Business Development at GE Capital.

          Aside from his career, Brown is a Facilitator at the American Leadership Academy. He oversees lectures and training programs in Cabo San Lucas Mexico.
