First Bank has named Stephanie Dunn as Senior Vice President and National Sales Manager of its newly launched national SBA Lending Division. The SBA Division will offer SBA 7a, USDA and 504 loans to small business owners and will serve all 50 states. Dunn will base her SBA lending development efforts in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Dunn has more than 17 years of experience in the SBA and commercial lending industry. She brings to her new role an extensive experience in SBA lending in the food, manufacturing, retail, funeral homes, and assisted living industries.
Most recently, she was with Live Oak Bank’s funeral home industry lending team. Before that, she held senior leadership roles at Excel National Bank and Temecula Valley Bank. In 2010, she was a contestant on NBC’s New York-based competition, “The Apprentice.”
Dunn sees a great potential for First Bank in small business lending. “The U.S. economy is driven by enormous corporations, yet our country was founded by small business owners with an entrepreneurial spirit,” she said.
